Jackie Topol, MS, RD, CSO, CDN, CLT is a registered dietitian and culinary nutritionist based in New York City.  Her vision for optimum health blends nutritional science and culinary education to make recommendations that fit each person’s lifestyle and health goals.

Jackie holds a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and has over 9 years of experience in culinary arts.  She is also a board certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO) and certified LEAP therapist (CLT).  Jackie is an Integrative Dietitan at Weill Cornell Medicine’s new Integrative Health program.  Prior to her position there, she was a Senior Clinical Dietitian at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell where she specialized in cardiology and oncology.  It was at NYP that she founded The Nourishing Kitchen, a program designed to teach cancer patients and their family members easy-to-make, nutritious recipes through cooking demonstrations.  The program has been so successful that it expanded to the cardiac population in 2015.

In her free time, you’ll find her in the kitchen with her students at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan where she has been an instructor since 2007.  Jackie is passionate about sharing her knowledge of nutrition through her therapeutic cooking classes that feature foods that prevent diseases and promote good health.  In 2010 she received the Wendy Burrell-Mintzer Memorial award from Les Dames d’Escoffier, a prestigious organization that celebrates women in culinary arts.

Jackie’s career was inspired from her own struggles with health.  Fed up with bad skin, extra weight, and GI problems, she made significant changes to her diet that led to an incredible transformation.  Armed with her own positive experiences and first-hand understanding of “food as medicine”, Jackie was determined to dedicate her life’s work to helping people heal through good nutrition.
